The Wii U is looking to be hardcore in 2014

The Wii U is looking to be hardcore in 2014
The Wii U is looking to be hardcore in 2014   Perception is vital to any gaming console. How a gamer perceives a console can influence whether they will buy it or not. Therefore, it is vital shape positive perceptions of their product.  The three main console makers has handled the perception of their consoles differently. Obviously Microsoft has been going out on a limb to destroy any momentum of the Xbox One while the Sony has methodically in the process of ticking all the right boxes to make the PS4 a potential a success story. The Wii U? Well the Wii U is an entirely different story.   The Wii U faces the kiddy image that is usually associated with most Nintendo consolse and then there is the casual game maker which spawned during the Wii fad. These are perception Nintendo has to overcome if they want to have any chance to win the generation War. Nintendo needs to win over all the gamers from the casual, to the devote mii-gamers and even to the ...

The Wii U does not need a price cut

The Wii U does not need a price cut
The Wii U does not need a price cut To price cut or not to price cut, that is the question…. Like in any normal day, I go through the daily routine of scouring my favorite forums, reading comments and participating in constructive discussion.  One thing that often pops up in discussions is the idea that the Wii U needs a price cut. The thing about price cuts is that, it is not an arbitrary decision that can be lightly thrown around the dinner table while enjoying fine wine and with good company. It is a weighty decision, with many aspects that need to be carefully considered. We can concede that the Wii U is in a pickle. This time last year, I could not envision the notion that the Wii U could be struggling to such a degree. Perhaps, I had taken Nintendo’s success with the DS and Wii for granted. Who couldn't? Nintendo was living during the golden years. It seemed like it was only yesterday, when the Wii was selling gangbusters and the DS dominating the handheld ...

What was the most Impressive game at Nintendo’s E3 ?
What was the most Impressive game at Nintendo's E3? Nintendo showcased many incredible titles during this years E3. Yes, I know it was a bit disappointing that we did not get to  see any Metroid, Star Fox, F-Zero and a Super Mario Galaxy-esque game.  But who's to say these game are not coming? My fellow mii-gamers we need to be patient. I am confident that these titles will come to the Wii U eventually. That said, Nintendo showcased amazing games at E3, in fact the holiday season is going to be kind to the Wii U now. So what game impressed you the most? 1. New Super Mario 3D World 2. Mario Kart 8 3. Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze 4. Bayonetta 2 5. Monolith Soft's X 6. Super Smash Bros 7. The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD   The Winner [youtube id="APWTJMyM4qg" width="600" height="350"] Monolith Soft's X. I am falling in love with this game. 4 iconic video game characters that deserve to be in Super Smash Bros but never will
4 iconic video game characters that deserve to be in Super Smash Bros but never will. If you were a video game character, one of the greatest honour’s to ever to be bestowed upon you is to earn a place on the Super Smash Bros roster.  To be alongside legends such as Mario, Link, Samus, Sonic and Snake is a privilege. That said there are iconic characters that deserve and would be befitting to be in Super Smash Bros. The sad unfortunate reality is that these icons will never be playable in a Super Smash Bros game. Crash Bandicoot Mario has gone head to head with many adversaries. I’m not strictly talking about the numerous fights with bowser. Back in the 2D heyday, the now close allies, Mario and Sonic battled each other in the console war. When Sony entered the gaming fray, Crash Bandicoot challenged Mario’s dominance. Ultimately, Mario won. But I would love to see Crash fight Mario once again.  The only way to recreate this rivalry again is to make Crash ...

Mario Kart U: I want Bigger, Faster and Better

Mario Kart U: I want Bigger, Faster and Better
Mario Kart U: I want Bigger, Faster and Better Mario Kart U is coming. It will make its debut at E3 2013. The Juggernaut system seller will be vital to stream life into the Wii U. That said, it is time for the series to evolve into a bigger, faster and better game.  Here is what I want in the upcoming Mario kart U. Two screen multiplayer Wii U marks the death of Split screen multiplayer (at least for two player competition). At the bare minimum - two player multiplayer should be delegated to the TV and the gamepad screen. Sharing a screen is a jurassic concept. We are not in the 90’s people. Cockpit view This is more of a gimmick. Nevertheless, I think this would be cool in Mario Kart. Mario Kart 7 introduced cockpit view – a first person view from the cockpit. With the second screen on the gamepad, two perspectives can be viewed simultaneously. On the television display the normal 3rd person perspective is shown, while on the gamepad it displays the 1st ...
