Nintendo Please Save Miiverse – New Update Is Going To Kill The Community Spirit

Nintendo Please Save Miiverse – New Update Is Going To Kill The Community Spirit
Our Ex-good friend Marty from Miiverse, has now inadvertently ticked off the Miiverse community with the latest updates. The first update is in regards to the PC version of Miiverse. Nintendo has added "Verified user Icon" at the top of the community screen. Furthermore, a community search function has now been added. The second update has really angered the community. A new restriction has now been integrated, restricting Users from posting in quick successions. ESSENTIALLY, FORCING USERS TO WAIT 3 MINUTES BEFORE THEY CAN COMMENT AGAIN ON THE SAME POST! Naturally, this has not bode well for Miiverse inhabitants, and could potentially kill the community spirit. [add_line height_line="1" color="black"] Marty Wrote this on Miiverse (You can check the full details of the update as well):   "This affects all versions of Miiverse: You can no longer post several comments in quick succession on somebody else's post.  From now on, after posting a comment on ...

Why E3 2014 Will Be Make Or Break For Nintendo’s Wii U

Why E3 2014 Will Be Make Or Break For Nintendo’s Wii U
Why E3 2014 Will Be Make Or Break For Nintendo Nintendo and its Wii U have been floundering with negative perceptions. To no fault of anyone, but themselves – Nintendo is unable to recognize that they are indeed a crucial factor in why the Wii U is failing to resonate with the masses. I hate to do this, but it is necessary to put the hindsight hat on – to examine what went so terribly wrong – and how Nintendo can improve their selves in the future. Now, before we have extremist Nintendo fans calling me a hater  - please note, this is not a malicious attack on Ninty (actually far from it)! Besides, need I remind you that I am indeed a Nintendo Fan (Look at site name) – my intentions are noble, so relax. Dwelling on the past is not going to help anyone at this point. What is done is done! “What If’s” and “Nintendo should have done this” statements are counterproductive.  With this said – as someone who has a major in History and studied extensively ...

Nintendo needs to market the crap out of Mario Kart 8

Nintendo needs to market the crap out of Mario Kart 8
Nintendo needs to market the crap out of Mario Kart 8 Wii U is in a pickle right now! Games! Games! And more games are needed to make the Wii U appealing. Though the Wii U currently has the best line-up out of the three new consoles – Nintendo has failed to release these sublime titles in a consistent and timely matter – consequently losing any momentum with the droughts. It will be a long grind for Wii U fans between Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze and Mario Kart 8 – not only will we have a small amount of retail games to play – but we will no doubt have to put up with more ridiculous crap from haters. Nevertheless, Mario Kart 8 is shaping up to be one of the best Wii U game so far – perhaps when everything is said and done – the gravity defying racer might be recognized as one of the best game of this generation. Personally speaking, the hype level is so out of control that my body cannot cope with the trembles. Nintendo has a compelling piece of ...

A cornered beast will fight: Why you shouldn’t underestimate Nintendo

A cornered beast will fight: Why you shouldn’t underestimate Nintendo
I purposefully waited before publishing this piece. In truth, I was devastated with the news that Nintendo will be posting another year in the red, despite the success of the 3DS and Pokemon X&Y.  By that I mean, how on earth did Nintendo It was appropriate to let the dust settle and let my mind clear before assessing the situation. Anyone who thinks with a rational mind, will definitely support me, when I say that Nintendo is not in immediate danger or in better terms – critically wounded – it isn’t that dire… yet. However, I am not going to pretend that everything is fine and dandy in the land of Nintendo – it simply isn’t it true. I believe Nintendo has reached a fork in the road – by which their future depends on what path they decide to travel down.   I suppose many are absolutely tired of reading armchair analyst on what “Nintendo should do to save themselves” – so I won’t be doing that here. This is Nintendo’s journey - thus they are ...

Why The Wonderful 101 is my Game Of The Year

Why The Wonderful 101 is my Game Of The Year
Why The Wonderful 101 is my Game of the year It has been a wonderful year for Nintendo fans regardless whether you own a Wii U or 3DS. Nintendo has delivered so  many incredible games this year for their fans – so much so – that it has become an incredibly difficult task for myself to select my personal game of the year. With a list that consists of Lego City: Undercover, Pokemon X&Y, Fire Emblem Awakening, The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD, Pikmin 3, The Legend of Zela: A Link Between Worlds, The Wonderful 101 and finally Super Mario 3D World – selecting the best game from a lineup with sublime pedigree is difficult.  I hope you can understand my dilemma of picking a game of the year. In all honesty my game of the year choice comes down to 4 games: Fire Emblem: Awakening, Pikmin 3, The Wonderful 101 and Super Mario 3D World. Obviously the easy choice would be picking Super Mario 3D World whom has the highest Metacritic score and no doubt a deserving game. ...
