Super Smash Bros Pic Of The Day 21.4.14: New Item Revealed

Super Smash Bros Pic Of The Day 21.4.14: New Item Revealed
Like with Brawl, Sakurai will be providing daily updates on the development process of Super Smash Bros For Wii U and 3DS. Last Friday, Sakurai revealed that the 3DS and Wii U versions of Super Smash Bros will have more or less the same types of  Assist trophies. Today's update is a screenshot of a new item. The item is a Fireball Sword. Judging from the aesthetics this is likely from the Super Mario Series. Perhaps, when swung it releases Fire Balls. Now that Sakurai has posted on Miiverse - the item is called the Fire Ball - which shortens after each swing. Furthermore, Sakurai noted that the beam sword will feature graduated colors. Sakurai on Miiverse: Pic of the day. For the first time in the Smash series, Beam Swords will feature graduated colors. The attack item on the left is the Fire Bar. This is a peculiar weapon that becomes shorter after each swing. For more information on Super Smash Bros for Wii U and Super Smash Bros for 3DS you can ...

The History of Mario Kart: Celebrating Mario Kart 64

The History of Mario Kart: Celebrating Mario Kart 64
Oh the nostalgia! Without a doubt the Mario Kart Series has resonated with many gamers. To be honest - finding someone who doesn't have a Mario Kart memory will be a difficult task indeed. With this said - I can see through Nintendo's Social Media Marketing Strategy - blatantly using nostalgia to sell Mario Kart 8. To be honest - it is an absolutely fantastic idea. Nintendo took to twitter today uploading an infograph on Mario Kart 64 - with the purpose to instill that nostalgia into fans - perhaps even enough to convince them to buy Mario Kart 8. Check it out below: https://twitter.com/NintendoAUNZ/status/458092949419855872

Why E3 2014 Will Be Make Or Break For Nintendo’s Wii U

Why E3 2014 Will Be Make Or Break For Nintendo’s Wii U
Why E3 2014 Will Be Make Or Break For Nintendo Nintendo and its Wii U have been floundering with negative perceptions. To no fault of anyone, but themselves – Nintendo is unable to recognize that they are indeed a crucial factor in why the Wii U is failing to resonate with the masses. I hate to do this, but it is necessary to put the hindsight hat on – to examine what went so terribly wrong – and how Nintendo can improve their selves in the future. Now, before we have extremist Nintendo fans calling me a hater  - please note, this is not a malicious attack on Ninty (actually far from it)! Besides, need I remind you that I am indeed a Nintendo Fan (Look at site name) – my intentions are noble, so relax. Dwelling on the past is not going to help anyone at this point. What is done is done! “What If’s” and “Nintendo should have done this” statements are counterproductive.  With this said – as someone who has a major in History and studied extensively ...

Image of Dev working hard on Sonic Boom

Image of Dev working hard on Sonic Boom
Mynintendonews has found an interesting IMAGE of one of the developers from Big Red Button Entertainment working hard on Sonic Boom for the Wii U. The image was uploaded on the Spin Dash Forums by the user Finn. Clearly, the game is still in development - therefore, you cannot expect any worthwhile information from one measly picture. As Mynintendonews pointed (I was going to do the same - I swear) - you can see the Wii U dev kit - which I assume is that Bronze large console on the left side of the table. Sonic Boom is scheduled for the 3DS and Wii U during the second half of 2014. For more on Sonic Boom stay informed at Mii-gamer
