Nintendo needs to market the crap out of Mario Kart 8 Wii U is in a pickle right now! Games! Games! And more games are needed to make the Wii U appealing. Though the Wii U currently has the best line-up out of the three new consoles – Nintendo has failed to release these sublime titles in a consistent and timely matter – consequently losing any momentum with the droughts. It will be a long grind for Wii U fans between Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze and Mario Kart 8 – not only will we have a small amount of retail games to play – but we will no doubt have to put up with more ridiculous crap from haters. Nevertheless, Mario Kart 8 is shaping up to be one of the best Wii U game so far – perhaps when everything is said and done – the gravity defying racer might be recognized as one of the best game of this generation. Personally speaking, the hype level is so out of control that my body cannot cope with the trembles. Nintendo has a compelling piece of ...read more

"Item balance" is, perhaps, one of the most contested topics concerning the Mario Kart series. To be more specific - the Blue Shell grinded many fans gears - if you know what I mean. In Mario Kart 7 - players could customize races to have only have certain items (in the form of communities) - therefore no Blue Shells. While, it was a welcome addition - it was fairly limited in execution. Fortunately, Nintendo might have a system for players to customize what items are used in races. Speaking to IGN, Mario Kart 8 Director Kosuke Kobuki and Producer Hideki Konno hinted that there could be a system for cutomization. Kobuki explained that Mario Kart 8 will have the system present in MK7, but will have a little more. "There was some item customization in Mario Kart 7, in that you could choose to have a mushroom-only race or shell-only race. We're going to have that plus a little bit more, actually, in Mario Kart 8," Kobuki explained. He continued: "I think we're going to be ...read more

Unbeknownst to many - Nintendo is slowly unveiling the titles of the new tracks from Mario Kart via their Twitter page. Today, Nintendo of UK has unveiled the official title of the airport track revealed at the December ND - naming it Sunshine Airport. In my opinion, Sunshine Airport is perhaps the most breathe taking track in any Mario Kart game followed by Cloudtop Cruise. I am getting way too anxious for Mario Kart 8 - I need the game now.
