Nintendo of Japan has proudly announced that Super Smash Bros. For 3DS  has sold over one million copies during its first two days in Japan. Since Saturday September 13 – Super Smash Bros. For 3DS has sold over one million copies; including both physical and digital versions.

With 16 million 3DS consoles in Japanese households – Super Smash Bros. For 3DS is the fourth title to reach the 1 million in its first week (talking about japan), joining juggernauts Monster Hunter 4, Pokemon X & Y and Yo- Kai Watch.

The success of Super Smash Bros. For 3DS comes at no surprise, especially since Nintendo has dedicated an enormous amount effort to market and hype the title.

For the western markets – Super Smash Bros. For 3DS is set to be released on October 4. If you can’t wait until then, you can try out a demo which will be available on September 20.
