Here’s the full Super Smash Bros. For Wii U/3DS Character Roster

With Super Smash Bros. For 3DS officially launching in Japan in a matter of hours, it was inevitable that the full fighter roster will be revealed before the street day broke. The full character roster is known now largely thanks to Japanese gamer’s steaming their play sessions through Twitch and ultimately spilling the proverbial beans.

The fighter roster consists of 49 mascots across the Nintendo Universe and other notable 3rd Party franchises. In terms of newcomers – Bowser Jr. Duck Hunt Dog and Dark Pit will be joining the fight for the first time. Sakurai did suggest that Alph & Pikmin will be a newcomer, however, it appears that was another lighthearted joke. Veterans Wario, Mr. Game & Watch, Ganondorf, Falco, Jigglypuff, R.O.B, Falco, Dr Mario and Ness returns to the playable list.

Unfortunately, the Ice Climbers, Wolf and Lucas have failed to make the cut. However, there is the high probability hat these characters and additional fighters like Ridley, Dixey Kong and Mewtwo will be included through DLC Add-ons.

Overall, I have high opinion on the roster. If I may be so bold to say that it is the greatest gathering of gaming icons. However, I do have mix feelings on the inclusion of clones such as Dark Pit and Dr Mario. Hopefully, they have enough distinctions to justify their spots.

What are your thoughts and feeling about the full Super Smash Bros. For Wii U/3DS Character Roster? Has the fighter line-up made you excited for Super Smash Bros?
