Today on Miiverse, Director Masahiro Sakurai shared more information on the fighting teams that will appear in various modes in Super Smash Bros. For Wii U/3DS such as Multi-man Melee and Cruel Melee.

In the past games, these modes featured Fighting Wire Frames and Fighting alloys. Now in Super Smash Bros For Wii U/3DS, Mii Fighters will be entering the fray.

Sakurai says that the Mii Fighters in team fights will copy the faces of all the Mii’s that are saved on your Wii U/3DS.

“The mysterious fighting teams that appear in the Smash Bros. series come in many shapes and sizes, but this time even we don’t know what all of them will look like! It’s said that they copy faces from Mii characters saved on your system and attack in a large throng…!! But wait, they all have big smiles on their faces. Looks like they’re having a good time, so show no mercy and launch them all away!!”

Super Smash Bros For 3DS is due for release on October 3. While Super Smash Bros. For Wii U still has a tentative holiday launch.
