Nintendo has pulled the curtains and unveiled their plans for the upcoming Mario Kart 8 DLC. Nintendo has two DLC-AOC packs planned for Mario Kart 8 scheduled to be available for play on November 2014 and May 2015 respectively.

Each Add On Content pack will contain two new cups, each with four courses, which, in total, increases the number of available courses by 50 percent. The Add On Content packs include classics like Wario’s Gold Mine from Mario Kart Wii, as well as new courses, some taking place in the worlds of The Legend of Zelda and Animal Crossing. New vehicles will also arrive with each pack, including the Blue Falcon kart representing the F-Zero franchise in the first AOC pack.

The first pack will include Tanooki Mario, Cat peach and Link as additional racers. Additionally, 4 vehicles and 8 courses will accompany the 3 playable characters.

The second pack will come complete with Villager, Isabelle and Dry Bones as playable character; plus 4 vehicles and 8 courses.

Furthermore, if you purchase both packs – as a bundle or seperately – you can get eight different-colored Shy Guys and Yoshi’s.

Each pack will cost $7.99 each, or alternatively you can buy both for $11.99.

Also, the Mercedez-benz Mario Kart 8 DLC should be available to download for free as of today.

In my opinion, Nintendo is offering fantastic value with these DLC packs and should extend the longevity of Mario Kart 8 for Wii U owners. It would be foolish to not snap up these DLC packs.

About - Former friend of Mii-gamer’s Editor-in-Chief, Michael! Unfortunately, the friendship was ruined after a fateful night of Mario Kart 8. As the loser of the bet, I agreed to help around Mii-gamer as the Deputy Editor. Nah just joking! I joined Mii-gamer because I have passion for writing and Nintendo happens to be my favorite game company, it was the perfect opportunity to share my passion. I play all types of game, but I especially love online oriented titles. My favorite Nintendo franchise are 3D Mario platformers ( a bit cliche, I know).
