To start-off the new week, today on Miiverse, director Masahiro Sakurai, shares more information on the Classic Mode in Super Smash Bros For 3DS.

Firstly, the difficulty of each level is dependent on how much gold you wager before the match. Essentially,  the more gold you put on the scale the harder the match will be. In return, your rewards will be better and abundant if you happen to win.“The more gold you put onto the Fiend’s Scale, the harder the battles will be. In return, your rewards will get better and more abundant. The best way to earn gold fast is to win Classic battles on higher intensity.” Sakurai wrote on Miiverse.

Additionally, Classic mode will have branching routes, allowing players to decide what path to take. Sakurai also hints that a special event will happen if you raise the intensity in certain stages. For example, something might change if you change the intensity in the Master Hand match.

“In Classic mode, you can choose your next challenge on the route map. Looks like Master Hand is waiting at the end, but perhaps something might change if you raise the intensity…?!”

Super Smash Bros For 3DS is due for release on October 3. While Super Smash Bros. For Wii U still has a tentative holiday launch.
