Fatal Frame: The Black Haired Shrine Box Art Revealed
Koei Tecmo has revealed the official box art for the Wii U exclusive, Fatal Frame: The Black Haired Shrine. Like almost every exclusive – Fatal Frame: The Black Haired Shrine box art looks amazing… my opinion of course. Nothing sells a video game better than having two WET girls on the cover art.
Unfortunately, Fatal Frame: The Black Haired Shrine is almost certainly a title that will fly under the radar of most Japanese gamers. Only announced last month, Fatal Frame Wii U is scheduled to launch on September 27, and there hasn’t been any sort of marketing on the behalf of Koei Tecmo and Nintendo. The only hope that the title has, is whether the success of the featured film (scheduled for this year as well) can lend itself to draw interest to the video game.
Fatal Frame: The Black Haired Shrine follows the story of reporter, Yuri Kozukata, whom since as a child, has the ability to find the truth and history of things by merely touching the object/person. The game promises to fully utilize the Wii U GamePad capabilities. In fact, the Wii U GamePad is essentially the spirit camera allowing you to fend off ghouls and nasty spirits. Also, only through the GamePad can you see certain objects and secrets.
Nintendo has not spoken a word whether they intend to localize Fatal Frame: The Black Haired Shrine for Europe, North America and Australia, but let’s cross our fingers that the title will make it across the pond.
Until such words, all we have is the debut trailer and the screenshots below:
