Rumor: Rayman Playable in Super Smash Bros For Wii U/3DS
Earlier last month the director of Super Smash Bros For Wii U/3DS, Mr Sakurai, revealed that Rayman will be in the game… But in the form of a trophy. While Mr. Sakurai didn’t completely rule out the possibility that Rayman will be a playable character, many automatically assumed that he will be delegated to trophy status only.
However, if we were to believe the words of a Nintendo employee then Rayman may have been accidentally confirmed to be a playable character in Super Smash Bros For Wii U/3DS.
If you watch from the 1:50 mark of the video posted by Creature Console, Matt Ryan of Nintendo Canada briefly mentions that Rayman is one of the newly added playable characters.
The most logical explanation is that this was just a slip of the tongue and nothing more! In the off chance that Rayman is eventually announced, then this is a massive boo boo on Matt’s part. Potentially, there could be serious disciplinary measures given to Mr. Ryan. Nintendo has never appeared to be the type to tolerate information leaks, in fact, the big N are notorious for unleashing ninja’s on leakers.
I would love for Rayman to be included in the playable character roster! He fits perfectly into Super Smash Bros universe. Well, that’s just my opinion.
What are your thoughts on Matt’s comments? A slip of the tongue or accidental confirmation? Let me know in the comment section!
