For those who have been playing video games long enough will know that our hobby is an expensive endeavor to maintain.  Buying a new piece of tech and purchasing subsequent software thereafter does take a significant toll on our wallets. Therefore it is important to shop around for the best prices. If you happen to be shopping around for a cheap deal on a 3DS XL, then perhaps looking into a refurbished console might be a good idea, especially if you are on a tight budget.

Thankfully, Nintendo has begun offering a variety of refurbished 3DXLs at a discounted price. The standard black, blue, pink, and red 3DSXL will set you back a cool $135. However, if the standard colors don’t tickle your fancy and would like something more exotic, you can opt to buy the special edition Mario & Luigi or Yoshi 3DS XL for an additional $15.

Normally, a brand new 3DS XL retails at $180 so buying “refurbished” could potentially save you $45. Just think about it! That $45 could be spent on buying an additional game such as Super Mario 3D Land, Mario Kart 7, Animal Crossing, Fire Emblem and the list can go on for ages. So it is definitely something to consider!

If you are interest you can check out the store here.

About - Former friend of Mii-gamer’s Editor-in-Chief, Michael! Unfortunately, the friendship was ruined after a fateful night of Mario Kart 8. As the loser of the bet, I agreed to help around Mii-gamer as the Deputy Editor. Nah just joking! I joined Mii-gamer because I have passion for writing and Nintendo happens to be my favorite game company, it was the perfect opportunity to share my passion. I play all types of game, but I especially love online oriented titles. My favorite Nintendo franchise are 3D Mario platformers ( a bit cliche, I know).
