Scrupulous Smash Fans will be glad to know that there are only 65 days left until Super Smash Bros. For 3DS hits the shelves. Of course, this means that there will be many more “Pic of the Day” Miiverse posts by Mr Sakurai.

In yesterdays “Pic of the day,” Mr. Sakurai proudly announced a new Assist Trophy, Takamaru from Nazo no Murasame-jō. When summoned, Takamaru uses the deadly attack titled “Multidirectional Pinwheel Knife Rook Attack!” Takamaru did appear in Super Smash Bros Brawl but only in the form of a sticker.

Today, Sakurai raised the curtain on a new stage for Super Smash Bros. For 3DS. For the first time, a Paper Mario stage will be playable in Super Smash Bros. The Paper Mario stage regularly transforms when it folds and open ups again. At first it may be hard to envision the concept behind the arena, but I do believe it will work similarly to a pop-up book. Also, Paper Mario Fans will be glad to hear that S.S. Flavion from Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door will be one of the platforms you will be fighting on. Hooray!

“Pic of the day. For the first time ever in the Super Smash Bros. series, here’s a Paper Mario stage! It’s made of paper, so strong winds will blow it away.”

“Since the stage is paper, it transforms when it folds over and opens up again. This ship is the S.S. Flavion from Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door.”

Super Smash Bros For 3DS is due for release on October 3. While Super Smash Bros. For Wii U still has a tentative holiday launch.

About - Former friend of Mii-gamer’s Editor-in-Chief, Michael! Unfortunately, the friendship was ruined after a fateful night of Mario Kart 8. As the loser of the bet, I agreed to help around Mii-gamer as the Deputy Editor. Nah just joking! I joined Mii-gamer because I have passion for writing and Nintendo happens to be my favorite game company, it was the perfect opportunity to share my passion. I play all types of game, but I especially love online oriented titles. My favorite Nintendo franchise are 3D Mario platformers ( a bit cliche, I know).
