I Am Not Camera Shy After Watching The Fatal Frame: The Black Hared Shrine Trailer

Fatal Frame The Black Haired Shrine 5

On Thursday, I reported that the latest iteration of the famed Japanese horror series was finally revealed – titled Fatal Frame: The Black Haired Shrine. Fatal Frame: The Black Haired Shrine is developed by Koei Tecmo, and will be a Wii U exclusive. The event was a Japanese exclusive event, thus the information flow was limited. Thankfully, Sumwheat has made a subbed version of the reveal trailer of Fatal Frame: The Black Haired ShrineThe subs give’s us a better perspective on what has occurred during the trailer.

Fatal Frame: The Black Haired Shrine follows a beautiful woman – Yuri Kozukata. Yuri has a special ability to see the history and truth behind object by simply touching them. From what I can gather – a large portion of the game will take place in Mountain Hakimiyama. Hamino asks Yuri to find a certain individual or group that has wandered into the mountains, which is notorious for suicides.

Fatal Frame: The Black Haired Shrine promised to use the GamePad in effective ways. In fact, the Wii U GamePad second screen allows you to peek through the lens of the camera – allowing you to see things that otherwise could not be revealed. Furthermore, the Wii U GamePad will be your primary weapons against the evil spirits lurking in Hakimiyama.

Fatal Frame: The Black Haired Shrine is slated for Japan on September 27 of this year. No word whether Nintendo intends to localize the game. But one would hope so! I need this game now!

Fatal Frame is a niche title in the west – so there is a financial risk in localization. Would you be interested in the title if it were localized? Let me know!
