The latest issue of Coro Coro Magazine has revealed that the iron leg Pokemon will be receiving its very own mega evolution – in Mega Metagross. Mega Metagross is owned by Elite Four Champion Steven (could be former Elite four Champion), whom activates the evolution through his mega brooch.

I quite like the design of Mega Metagross – the profoundness of the X on the face, the large claws and the horn on the chin certainly makes him more intimidating than its normal form. I’ve noticed that it’s former legs are not used for standing – but rather act as arms, which leads me to believe Mega Metagross’ ability is Levitate. To explain further – back legs are now joint on the shoulder (if you can call it that). Futhermore, the  bottom claws are not designed for standing. It sort of makes sense! Right? Then again, Magnezone possesses no legs, and yet it can be destroyed by a well timed earthquake. This is all conjecture on my part. There is a high probability that I will be wrong.

Unfortunately, no other information has emerged on Metagross.  I’ll let you know when more tidbits arrive.

Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire launches worldwide this November. Stay tuned at Mii-gamer for updates.
