Tiny Tidbits about the new Primeval/Primal/Prehistoric Form in Pokemon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire

Yesterdays, leaked scans of Coro Coro’s magazine spread of Pokemon Omega Ruby and Pokemon Alpha Sapphire revealed some interesting information on the game. In addition, to the confirmed NEW mega evolutions such as Mega Sceptil and Mega Swampert, the scans also revealed more details on the mysterious new forms of Groudon and Kyogre.

The new forms are known as either Primeval, Primal or Prehistorics, with Serebii refering to them as Prehistoric Pokemon. The Prehistoric forms work in a similar fashion to the Mega evolutions, however, the Pokemon undergoes a process called Ancient Devolutions, and transforms the Pokemon back to their prehistoric state,

“A new feature introduced in Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire is Prehistoric/Primal/Primeval Pokémon. These Pokémon seem to work in a similar manner to Mega Evolution through a process called Ancient Devolution, and sends the Pokémon back to their prehistoric state.” – T-bone91
