Super Smash Bros Pic Of The Day 26.5.14: Changes Made To The Revival Platform

Like with Brawl, Sakurai will be providing daily updates on the development progress of Super Smash Bros For Wii U and Super Smash Bros For 3DS through Miiverse.

Last Friday, Sakurai finally confirmed that Ike will be returning as a playable character. In addition, Ike will be getting a new look, following the character design from Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn.


Today’s “Pic of the Day” is of the revival platforms. In addition, Sakurai confirmed that there will be changes made to the platforms. Firstly, apart from the new look – the lights on the platform will change from yellow to red to warn players how much time they have left before the drop into the frey.

The revival platforms are the special platforms that carries the player back onto the stage after being KO’d. The Platform has evolved throughout each new entry! Check out the older versions below:

Pic of the day. Here’s a look at the revival platforms. The color of the bottom mechanism changes from yellow to red to warn you how much time you have left before you drop into the fray.
