Do you want to be the very best? Like no one ever was?

If your answer is yes – then I have good tidings for you! The Pokemon Company has announced that the Pokemon National Championships will be running this year. Crossing several continents and dozens of countries – these meets will be scouting for the best Pokemon TCG Players and Pokemon Game Masters for an ultimate tournament to be held on  August 16–17 in Washington, DC. In order to participate in the world championships you will need to prove your worth in the National Championships in Asia, Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Europe, North America and South America.

Nintendo Life highlights these events as important meets:

  • German National Championships: 3rd-4th May in Bochum, Germany
  • UK National Championships: 24th-25th May in Manchester, England
  • Italian National Championships: 31st May-1st June in Milan, Italy
  • Canadian National Championships: 28th June in Kitchener, Ontario
  • US National Championships: 4th-6th July in Indianapolis, Indiana
  • World Championships: 16th-17th August in Washington, D.C.

Now before you start the intense training regime in preparation for theses tournaments – it is important to be familiar with the rules, regulations and format – thankfully the Pokemon Company has all the information conveniently located here.
