Like in Brawl, Sakurai will be providing daily updates on the development progress of Super Smash Bros for Wii U/3DS through Miiverse.

Today’s update Sakurai revealed a little more on Rosalina’s playstyle. It was evident from the first trailer that Rosalina’s biggest asset is Luma whom can be controlled remotely by the player. What is fascinating is that Luma can fight beside Rosalina or fight in distance from each other – perhaps Rosalina is a short to medium range figher. It is still unclear whether you can damage the Luma and knock it out or not (similarly to how the Ice Climbers function). Hopefully we get more clarification in the future.

Sakurai on Miiverse:

Pic of the day. Rosalina and Luma can be right by each other or set farther apart. They’re both controlled by the player, so a smash attack can be done from far off. Remote control all the way!
