The NPD numbers are in for November and it is looking fairly good for Nintendo. Firstly lets get the 3DS numbers out of the way. Nintendo should be fairly happy with the 3DS performance this month with  770,000 units sold in the US alone. The good sales can be attributed to Pokemon X&Y and the Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds.

The Wii U has had an OK. The sales of the Wii U increased 340 percent over the previous month with 225 000 units sold. Super Mario 3D World sold more than 215,000 combined digital and physical units in its first eight days on the market.

Scott Moffit from Nintendo is fairly positive about the sales:

“In looking at these results, two things are indisputable: Our hardware is gaining momentum at the exact right time and our software catalog is stronger than ever.”

Well I expected the 3DS to perform a little better, but nevertheless it is still solid numbers. The Wii U numbers are still bad, but at least they are improving and gaining momentum.
