AKB48 Partners With Nintendo To Promote Super Smash Bros. For 3DS In Japan

Nintendo has partnered with the insanely popular entertainment group, AKB48, to promote Super Smash Bros. For 3DS in Japan. Share by a Neogafian, several images has emerged of a promotional video showcasing several AkB48 members replicated in Mii-fighters against the fame cast of Super Smash Bros. For Wii U/3DS.

AKB48 is a 48 member girl band/entertainment (now 140 members) based in Akihibara, and performs daily and live at a dedicated theatre (rotational roster). The band is incredibly popular in Japan, and have previously worked with Nintendo promoting Just Dance Wii U.

When you consider that AKB48 is popular among the female and male demographic in Japan – this is an excellent partnership that will be a successful endeavor in Japan.

Super Smash Bros For 3DS is due for release on October 3. While Super Smash Bros. For Wii U still has a tentative holiday launch.
