Pokemon of the Day: Mega Tyranitar

Mega Tyranitar is a fierce looking Pokemon, not only in aesthetics but also in stats. With all round good stats – Mega Tyranitar can serve a number of roles for your team, it can be an offensive monster or a defensive pivot. Most importantly Tyranitar provides  a valuable sound stream for 5 turns.

Overall, I think Mega Tyranitar will be a commonly used Pokemon in the new metagame  simply because it is that awesome.

Offensive Dragon Dance Tyranitar @ Tyranitarite

EVS: 252 attack, 252 speeed, 4 hp

• Dragon Dance
• Stone Edge
• Crunch
• Super Power

The Idea of the set is simple. Set Up with dragon dance when you predict a switch and then proceed to attack. Crunch and Stone Edge are great stabs and will severely dent anything that does not resist it. Super Power is there to hit steels for super effective.
