Nintendo games are known to retain their value for long periods of times - even years after launch Ninty games can remain at full price. For example - in Australia Pokemon Diamond is still dear - with a retail price at $40'ish. Thankfully, for potential consumers, you don't need to wait years until certain 3DS games get a price cut - since Nintendo of America have announced that five 3DS game will have their retail prices cut.
Starting April 22nd - Super Mario 3D Land, Mario Kart 7, New Super Mario Bros. 2, Animal Crossing: New Leaf and Donkey Kong Country Returns will now have a tantalizing price of $29.99 at retail and on the Nintendo eShop. It doesn't take a genius that these game have already made a hefty profit for Nintendo - any more sales would be the cherry on top of the cake.
