Fatal Frame: The Black Haired Shrine Release Date Confirmed

The Fatal Frame live stream is now over, and boy it didn’t disappoint. Fatal Frame: The Black Haired Shrine has been announced Exclusively for the Nintendo Wii U. Best of all, if you live in Japan – you won’t need to wait too long to get to play the game – as it is scheduled on September 27, 2014.

The game is set in a large amount filled with large lakes and graves. The theme is inspired by traditional Japanese horror stories, and will feature the motif “fear of being wet”.

You play as Yuri Kozukata, whom since as a child has the ability to find the truth and history of things by merely touching the object/person.

The Wii U GamePad will be the primary weapon – allowing you to see things on the GamePad screen that cannot be seen on the Television screen.

Unfortunately, there has been no word from Nintendo of America or Nintendo of Europe,  whether Fatal Frame: The Black Haired Shrine will be localized for Western markets. But I would hope so – the Wii U needs all the games it gets – even if it is a niche title like the Fatal Frame series. Furthermore, Fatal Frame: The Black Haired Shrine is a game that will show the potential of the Wii U gamepad

Would you like a localized Fatal Frame: The Black Haired Shrine? Let me know!
