Nintendo’s marketing machine is one full throttle now that the Season is almost upon us. A few days ago Nintendo announced a partnership with Southwest Airlines (I do not know who they are). As part of the partnership, Nintendo will be setting gaming lounges for passengers to play.

To kick-start off the campaign, Mario made an appearance on Flight 1883 from New Orleans to Dallas. Those lucky passengers were gifted a Free New Super Mario Bros Wii U pack. Furthermore, Southwest airline will be doing a giveaway – providing free round trip tickets or a Wii U gaming bundle.

If this marketing ploy gets some mainstream coverage in the mainstream news, then it will do well in selling the Wii U and gaining public awareness.
