Wii U News: Pokemon Rumble U will be the first Nintendo NFC Game

Pokemon Rumble U will be the first Nintendo game on the Wii U to use the NFC capabilities of the Gamepad. There are two other games that use NFC, which are the Skylander series and the upcoming Disney Infinity.

According to a report by CoroCoro magazine and nicely translated by the lovely Serebii, you can purchase figurines at a Pokemon centre in Japan. Since this a Japanese magazine there are no details about how the figurines will be sold in Europe and America.

This is fantastic news, if Nintendo can market the figurines well like the Skylander series, we could have a massive system seller here and potentially a global phenomenon (maybe hyperbole). Nevertheless this is good news for the Wii U.
